Adhesive for Exterior Installation – Black 600 ml

A specialist black mounting adhesive in a 600 ml cartridge, designed for installing Stone in Roll and Stone Veneer on exterior surfaces — façades, plinths, fences and other vertical outdoor substrates. The advanced polymer-based formula provides a strong, flexible and durable bond, resistant to moisture, rain, frost and temperature fluctuations. The black color is ideal for dark stone claddings, masking any micro-gaps between the sheet and the substrate.

Applications – Where is this adhesive suitable?

This adhesive is formulated specifically for exterior façade claddings made from thin stone. It is ideal for installing:

  • Stone in Roll / stone veneer on façades, plinths, gable walls, columns, garden walls and fence elements,
  • stone claddings in entrance areas, terraces and balconies,
  • vertical exterior surfaces requiring high resistance to water, UV and temperature changes.

Thanks to its high adhesion strength, the adhesive can be used on typical stable construction substrates: concrete, cement-lime plaster, brick masonry, stable old plasters and claddings (after proper preparation), as well as on insulation systems with a reinforced layer (after consultation with the system manufacturer).

Average Consumption – How much adhesive do you need?

Exterior stone veneer requires full-surface support:

  • Stone in Roll / stone veneer (exterior façades): 1 cartridge (600 ml) covers approx. 0.8 m² when applied with a 4 mm notched trowel across the entire surface.

Full-surface coverage ensures uniform support, stronger adhesion, and minimizes the risk of delamination or “hollow spots” noticeable to the touch.

Instructions for Use – Installing Stone in Roll on Façades

Before installation, the substrate must be stable, load-bearing, clean and dry. Then:

  • prepare the surface by removing dust, loose material and weakly bonded layers (paint, dirt, old mortar residues),
  • apply adhesive to the wall using a 4 mm notched trowel, evenly across the full area to be covered,
  • press the Stone in Roll/stone veneer sheet into the freshly applied adhesive and press thoroughly using a wallpaper roller or by hand with a soft cloth,
  • install sheets tightly edge-to-edge, without grouting — the black color helps hide micro-gaps between panels,
  • pay special attention to edges and corners to ensure full adhesion.

After the adhesive cures, it is recommended to impregnate the stone cladding with a proper treatment to increase resistance to dirt and weather conditions.

Main Advantages of the Exterior Adhesive

  • Black color – perfect for dark stones and veneers, hides gaps and joints,
  • Dedicated for façades – optimized for outdoor use in harsh weather,
  • Polymer-based formula – high adhesion, flexibility and long-term durability,
  • Thermal resistance approx. -40°C to +90°C – no cracking or delamination in extreme temperatures,
  • Waterproof and sealing – protects against moisture, rain and frost,
  • For full-surface bonding – ideal for thin, flexible stone sheets,
  • Easy application – 600 ml cartridge, applied with a gun and notched trowel.

Stone on a roll – What is it?

1. Introduction – what is Stone in Roll?

Stone in Roll, also called stone veneer or stone wallpaper, is a cladding material made from a real layer of natural stone that is peeled off from a rock block using resin and fiberglass. The result is an ultra-thin sheet (approx. 2–3 mm) that retains the texture, colour, structure and appearance of natural stone, while being light, flexible, easy to install and resistant to water and weather conditions.

Stone veneer combines the authentic character of natural stone with modern technology, creating a product that is accessible to everyone – even people without construction experience.

2. How is Stone in Roll made? – Production technology

The production process consists of four key layers:

  • Natural slate – 100% real stone layer
  • Adhesive layer – bonds the stone with the fibre
  • Fiberglass – provides flexibility and strength
  • Epoxy resin – stabilises the structure and protects against water

How is the sheet created?
The slate block is heated and then coated with resin, adhesive and fiberglass. After cooling, the resin peels off a thin layer of stone, creating a finished veneer sheet.
