Sand

The SAND stone veneer is a sheet of natural slate in light, sandy beige tones with delicate, dense veining. The surface resembles fine-grained sand crossed with subtle lines — it looks like naturally “veined” rock but remains lightweight and flexible. It creates a warm, brightening wall effect that pairs perfectly with wood, white and black elements. Ideal for Scandinavian, boho, japandi and calm minimalist interiors.

  • bathrooms, shower zones, bathtub enclosures and niches after impregnation,
  • kitchens: backsplash panels, walls between cabinets, kitchen islands,
  • hallways, staircases and communication routes – brightening long walls,
  • fireplaces: fronts and sides, simple and modern claddings.

Exterior use

  • façade fragments in bright, modern houses,
  • pillars, posts and entrance structures,
  • terrace claddings and decorative garden walls,
  • architectural fronts and accents around doors and windows.

Furniture and interior elements

  • hidden doors and tall built-in furniture,
  • wardrobe fronts, closets, media units,
  • panels on freestanding furniture, dressers and consoles.

Commercial projects

  • exhibition and display panels,
  • hidden doors blending seamlessly with the wall,
  • accent ceilings and lighting niches,
  • claddings for islands, counters and bar fronts,
  • softly curved surfaces and detailed elements.

Character and finish

  • color: light beige, sandy, ecru with subtle warm veins,
  • finish: matte, natural, slightly rough to the touch,
  • structure: densely veined with fine vertical lines and gentle tone transitions,
  • visual effect: warm, brightening, calm and very natural,
  • each sheet is unique — the pattern and beige tones may vary.

Installation

  • cutting: angle grinder with diamond blade or guide saw,
  • adhesion: adhesive designed for stone / stone veneer,
  • applying adhesive: notched trowel (on substrate or resin side of the stone),
  • pressing: wallpaper roller, squeegee or rubber pressing tool,
  • in dry interiors — no need for grouting,
  • in wet zones — fill joints with silicone,
  • impregnation: recommended in kitchen, bathroom, shower and outdoors,
  • does not require perfectly flat walls — the adhesive compensates minor unevenness.

Why choose SAND?

  • natural slate with a light, sandy character — not imitation,
  • brightens interiors and warms the space without overwhelming it,
  • subtle dense veining helps mask minor dirt and signs of use,
  • lighter and easier to install than traditional stone slabs,
  • flexible — suitable for doors, furniture and gently curved surfaces,
  • for interior and exterior use, moisture- and weather-resistant (after impregnation),
  • perfect for bright Scandinavian, boho, japandi and premium designs focused on natural materials.

Stone on a roll – What is it?

1. Introduction – what is Stone in Roll?

Stone in Roll, also called stone veneer or stone wallpaper, is a cladding material made from a real layer of natural stone that is peeled off from a rock block using resin and fiberglass. The result is an ultra-thin sheet (approx. 2–3 mm) that retains the texture, colour, structure and appearance of natural stone, while being light, flexible, easy to install and resistant to water and weather conditions.

Stone veneer combines the authentic character of natural stone with modern technology, creating a product that is accessible to everyone – even people without construction experience.

2. How is Stone in Roll made? – Production technology

The production process consists of four key layers:

  • Natural slate – 100% real stone layer
  • Adhesive layer – bonds the stone with the fibre
  • Fiberglass – provides flexibility and strength
  • Epoxy resin – stabilises the structure and protects against water

How is the sheet created?
The slate block is heated and then coated with resin, adhesive and fiberglass. After cooling, the resin peels off a thin layer of stone, creating a finished veneer sheet.
